POV 1: Lando Norris – The Best Friend Who Never Let Go

Lando was not jealous. He wasn’t. He was just… observant.

So when Oscar lingered too long around Carlos during the media day, fingers brushing too casually on shoulders, laughing too loud at not-so-funny jokes, Lando clenched his jaw. And when Charles came up behind Carlos, whispered something in French that made Carlos giggle — giggle, of all things — Lando very nearly crashed the nearest golf cart.

Carlos was his. His teammate. His best friend. His person. Had been since McLaren. They’d shared secrets, hotel rooms, tears after races gone wrong. Lando had held Carlos when he cried after Abu Dhabi, had fed him cold pizza when he was too drained to move, had watched him sleep with that stupid perfect face in all its vulnerable softness.

So, when he stormed into Carlos’ motorhome and found both Oscar and Charles already inside, arms crossed and tension thick as fuel fumes, Lando didn’t hesitate.

“I need to talk to Carlos,” Lando said, voice low and sharp.
