Max Verstappen hated losing.
No...hated wasn’t even the right word.
Losing turned his thoughts vicious. One mistake and his brain became a courtroom where he was both prosecutor and defendant, listing every error like evidence, replaying it until it felt carved into bone.
He could deal with mechanical failures.
He could accept being beaten on merit.
What he couldn’t handle was the voice in his head telling him he should’ve known better.
