The campus theater is alive. The air hums with anticipation, the faint smell of stage lights and varnish mixing with the scent of nervous actors and freshly brewed coffee from the lobby. Tickets are sold out, and the murmurs of the audience ripple through the dark auditorium.
Backstage, the cast is in a frenzy ... last-minute costume adjustments, makeup touch-ups, scattered scripts, and a dozen people muttering reminders. But Max doesn’t see any of it. He’s fixated on Carlos.
