By mid-season, their bickering had softened into something else. Something the Ferrari garage couldn’t help but notice. Charles and Carlos were inseparable...not in the loud, obvious way, but in those quiet threads that tied them together wherever they went.
The engineers joked about it in whispers. One could ask Charles a question and Carlos would answer before him. Carlos could be mid-sentence and Charles would cut in with the ending as though they shared the same thought. It became a running joke in the paddock...two halves of one brain, red and white and entirely in tune.
